Spectrum of action

Zima 5 EC contains Emamectin benzoate 50 g/l acts as nerve and muscle disruptor. Working by interfering with the nervous system and muscle function of insects.  It specifically targets glutamate-gated chloride channels in the insect's nerve and muscle cells. The disruption of glutamate-gated chloride channels leads to paralysis and eventually death. This mode of action is particularly effective against caterpillars (Lepidopteran larvae) and some other pests.  


Zima 5 EC has rain-fastness of 4 hours approximately it has a remarkable translaminar action by which it controls the caterpillars present on the lower surface of the leaves. It is a good larvicide having an antifeedant effect, Larvae dies within 2-4 days of the ingestion.

Instructions for use

Apply the Insecticides when the incidence of larvae is first observed and repeat applications as necessary, apply the insecticide in sufficient quantity of water to ensure through coverage of the foliage.


Always mix Zima 5 EC in clean sprayer/container. Fill the tank up to its half volume with clean water, add the needed quantity of the product with agitation, than full fill the tank and mix thoroughly. After the application rinse the equipment three times with water.
