Spectrum of action

Chlorothalonil is considered to be a broad spectrum, contact, or protectant fungicide with long residual activity. Chlorothalonil has a multi-site activity, therefore it is considered low risk group without any signs of resistance developing to fungicides. Chlorothalonil attacks fungal cell at several sites, inhibiting various enzymes and other metabolic processes in fungi and disrupting spore germination.

While Azoxystrobin acts as preventing the respiration of fungi due to the disruption of electron transport chain, preventing ATP synthesis (this occurs as the azoxystrobin binds to the Qo site of Complex III within the mitochondrion). Azoxystrobin can be applied as a foliar spray or a soil-treatment prior to planting, as it has a residual effect. It acts as a systemic fungicide which has curative, translaminar and preventative action. 

Instructions for use

It is recommended to start with applications preventively - according to infection forecast or at the risk of infection. Treatments should be repeated at intervals of 7 - 10 days depending on the infection pressure. Sufficient amount of water should be used to ensure good crop coverage.
