- Use the product with actively growing weeds, in the early stages of development and not subjected to stress.
- After a treatment with Bena 5 EC it is possible to sow or transplant without limitations all crops in normal agronomic succession and in rotation, except cereals. In case of crop failure, carry out deep plowing before sowing / transplanting.
- Climatic conditions favorable to the development of weeds (heat and a good level of humidity in the soil) improve and accelerate the effectiveness of the product
Spectrum of action
Bena 5 EC contains the active substance Quizalofop-P-ethyl, as an optically active isomer, with systemic action to control grass weeds and selective for dicotyledonous cultures. It is rapidly absorbed by weed leaves (in about 2-3 hours) and translocates to all points of intense growth, including roots and rhizomes. Here, by inhibiting lipids in meristematic cells, it causes weed death. Thus, a few days after application, the treated weeds stop growing, the young leaves acquiring a yellowish hue.
Instructions for use
Bena 5 EC is quickly absorbed and translocated in the weeds, and up to 5 days after application, visible symptoms of poisoning are occurred. Up to 10 days after application, the weeds are completely killed.
Bena 5 EC should be applied as a FINE or MEDIUM spray. Ensure the sprayer is clean and in good working order. Calibrate according to sprayer manufacturers recommendations. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required quantity of Bena 5 EC. Add the remainder of the water and continue agitation until spraying is complete.
